Western Tanzania Safaris are charming, exclusive and beyond comparison – Take a walk on the wild side! This part of the country has a lot to offer from the Rift Valley to Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria (The source of the Nile), Gombe Streams Game Reserve, Mahale Mountains National Park, Rubondo Island National Park, and Katavi National Park. Most of these areas are remote and have many natural splendours: with chimpanzee reserves, islets, game filled enclaves. Western Tanzania is often overlooked due to the more popular parks like Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Manyara. Access to these parks is by air from Arusha and boat. The towns that are near these parks are Mwanza, Musoma and Kigoma.
Flights for Western Tanzania Safaris are limited to twice a week on shared charters. These are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays. This means that you must have a minimum of four days safari. Private charters are available daily, but are more costly.
Activities abound in the Western Tanzania Safaris – experience the wild side on these activities: camping, walking safaris, boating safaris, fly camping, chimpanzee tracking, fishing, kayaking.
